Introduction
Joel Seiferas <seiferas@cs.rochester.edu> distributes a list of papers and respective media to all interested parties. The current version is available as files papers.lst and media.lst from the anon FTP server ftp.cs.rochester.edu. In his instructions (available as local copy from us, too), Joel gives some hints on constructing search commands. Since the lists are quite big, we prefer to keep them reduced in size with Unix's compress program, resulting in files papers.lst.Z and media.lst.Z. Thus, the commands to search in these files are a bit more complicated; we wrote a C shell script, which can be called under the names papers and media (same file, use links). This script allows searches for ANDs and ORs of several keywords as well.Those not willing to retreive the complete lists (even compressed, they're 1.5 MB!) can send queries to our WWW server with the two links on top.
